Lembit Öpik, Liberal Democrat MP for Montgomeryshire, last month visited RSPB Lake Vyrnwy Farm and gave it high praise for its high quality meat.

Following his visit, Lembit said: "The meat produced here is top quality and the heather, natural herbs and grasses the cattle graze on ensures it has a distinctive flavour that makes it beautiful to eat".

Sioned Jones, who helps distribute the meat to local residents, restaurants and businesses said: "Sales have increased dramatically over the last year, and we hope to push the distribution side of the business forward in the coming months particularly now over the Christmas period."

Frozen Lamb and Beef are available at all times in the RSPB shop which is open seven days a week from 10.30am until dusk, and once a month fresh lamb, mutton and beef is available for delivery within a 30-mile radius of the reserve.
